Investigation of Rayleigh-Taylor instability in copper plate under explosive loading

چکیده

The Rayleigh–Taylor instability in metal is of great practical interest to a diverse range fields, and it significantly different from the traditional fluid interface instability. In this paper, set high explosives driven experiments copper plate are presented for intensively understanding perturbation growth behavior history on at specific time recorded by flash radiography. experimental results show that evolution sensitive its initial characters under given driving pressure, larger amplitude, faster grows, but wavelength remains almost unchanged explosive loading. front will influence features back free over time. Namely, position corresponding trough gradually evolves into peak vice versa.
